pasifika Youth Rugby Cup 2024

A Celebration Of Culture and Rugby

This years Pasifika Youth Rugby Cup (PYRC) tournament was held on the  29th November - 1st December at Whalan Reserve,  Whalan, NSW.

There  were 74 teams participating this year making it the largest rugby tournament  in NSW for the year. Teams were  representing all of our  great nations and cultures from all over the Pacific including:

  • Māori
  • Koori
  • Tonga
  • Samoa
  • Cook Islands
  • Fiji
  • Australian Barbarians

We had a full complement of teams representing  every division available in the tournament.

The U12's division was a new addition this year and it was great to see our younger tamariki out on the field. This tournament has grown so much since it's inception.

Take a look at our photos from the weekend

He mini nui to our 2024 sponsor Concept Paint and our Whanau sponsors  for your support this year.

The Māori Sports and Cultural Association acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we are privileged to live, work and gather to share in sport and culture. Both here on Dharug land and all across the land. We honour and respect their rich cultural heritage and the connection our custodians have to the land, sea, skies and waterways.  We pay our respects to Elders past, Elders present and to those following in their footsteps.
